How To Set up your new phone for the first time
When you connect your new phone for the first time, request the settings wizard.
Tip: You can activate the TalkBack to navigate through voice feedback before selecting the language. Press and hold the screen with two fingers until you hear a message saying that the accessibility mode is enabled.
Scroll through the configuration on the device screen to choose your Internet connection, log into their accounts and more.
There are different options to set up the new phone :
If you do not plan to restore a previous copy of your online storage security, you can use HTC Introduction service for first customize your new phone and set up your accounts on your computer.
In easy and quick setup screen, tap I use the Introduction. Your phone will display the URL of the site and an Introduction HTC pairing code. In your computer's browser window, go to the URL and enter the pairing code to get your web configuration. Save your settings in your HTC account so you can transfer your custom settings to your phone.
If you have already completed the Introduction HTC setup before connecting your new phone, just transfer your web configuration.
If you have content you want to transfer to another phone or serja an Android phone or another phone, select Get contents of the old phone.
If you have a backup phone made earlier that you want to restore from your online store, select Restore from Backup HTC Security.
To facilitate the preservation and restoration of content to another phone HTC One HTC in the future, select Safeguarding phone daily.
Note: Some features that need to connect to the Internet such as location-and auto-sync of your online accounts may incur extra data fees. To avoid incurring data costs, disable these features in Settings. For more information about location services, see Enable or disable location services.
Transfer content from an Android phone
On your old Android phone, HTC Transfer Tool transfer and use it to transfer content to your new HTC phone. The types of content locally stored on your old phone that can be transferred by the tool include contacts, messages, calendar events, web bookmarks, music, photos and videos. Some settings can also be downloaded.
important:
Requires Android 2.2 or higher to use the HTC Tool Transfer from your old phone version.
If your old phone has the Android 2.1 or earlier, you must use the Bluetooth transfer. For details, see Transferring contacts from your old phone via Bluetooth.
If you are setting up your new HTC phone for the first time, select Get contents of the old phone.
Or go to Settings, and then tap Get content from another phone.
Choose between downloading an old Android phone HTC or other Android phone.
Tap full transfer and then tap Next.
Follow the steps shown on your new phone to download and install the Transfer Tool for HTC Google Play your old phone, install and launch the tool.
When you see a PIN on your old phone, make sure that the same PIN also appears into your new phone before continuing.
Note: If the PIN code does not appear, it may mean that your old phone can not connect to your new phone. If this happens, tap Try another method of transfer to your new phone to use Bluetooth to transfer contacts from your old phone.
On your old phone, choose the types of content you want to transfer, and then tap Start or Transfer.
Wait until the transfer finishes.
Tap Done on both phones.
Restore your backup online storage
If you used Backup HTC before, you can restore your backup to HTC One when turn on the phone for the first time or after a factory reset.
Important: Depending on the amount of content, restore your backup to the phone through your data connection may incur additional data and time consuming. The use of a Wi-Fi connection is recommended.
When asked if you have a Google Account, sign in to your account.
Use your mobile data or Wi-Fi connection to connect your phone to the Internet.
Used their credentials early session as your Google Account and HTC your backup is Google Drive, tap Login with Google.
Otherwise, tap Remind me later, go to the Transfer screen or restore, and select Restore from Backup HTC.
Follow the onscreen instructions to restore your backup and continue configuring your phone.
Open the Notifications panel to check if a notification to complete the configuration of your phone.
Google Play free applications will be restored in the background, and can monitor progress through a notification in the status bar. To restore paid apps, you need to download and install them from Google Play.
Your applications will appear in the Applications screen as they are installed. Application shortcuts and Home screen will be rearranged as in your backup after all applications have been installed. You may continue to use the HTC One while applications are restored.
Transfer content from an iPhone
If you have an iPhone, it is easy and simple to transfer your contacts, messages and other content when using the HTC Sync Manager.

If you only have to migrate your contacts, you can also use Bluetooth to transfer. For details, see Transferring contacts from your old phone via Bluetooth.
Transferring contacts from your old phone via Bluetooth
Use Bluetooth to transfer contacts from an iPhone, a phone with Android 2.1 (or earlier), or other types of phones version. Depending on the capabilities of your old phone, you can download not only contacts but also other data such as calendar events and text messages to your new HTC phone.
Tip: Use the HTC Sync Manager to transfer most types of content from an iPhone.
If you are setting up your new HTC phone for the first time, select Get contents of the old phone.
Or go to Settings, and then tap Get content from another phone.
Choose between downloading an Android phone, iPhone or other phone. If you chose to download an Android phone, tap Speed Transfer.
On your old phone, turn Bluetooth.
Follow the onscreen instructions on your old phone and new phone to pair and start transferring data.
Other ways to get contacts and other content
There are different ways to add individual contacts and other content HTC One.
Synchronizing with your computer Use the HTC Sync Manager to synchronize contacts, documents, playlists and more between HTC One and your computer with a Windows or Mac OS operating system.
You can also use it to transfer your iTunes backup that contains contacts, messages and other content to an iPhone from your computer to HTC One.
Google Account Google contacts are imported to HTC One after logging in to your Google account. You can also create more Google contacts right from HTC One.
Start social networking accounts to sign in to your favorite social networks to synchronize contact information.
Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync syncs your HTC One professional contacts with Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync Server in your workplace.
Phone contacts You can create contacts locally on HTC One, if you'd rather not store them in your online accounts.Nano SIM card Copy all your SIM contacts to HTC One.
Home screen
Once you have connected and configured HTC One for the first time, will see HTC BlinkFeed.
Customize HTC BlinkFeed to display posts from your social networks, highlights from your favorite news sites, and more. For details, see Your Home screen dynamic.
Swipe to the left and find another panel of widgets to add your widgets, favorite applications and more, so they are at a tap away. If you need more space for your stuff, you can add more panels. For details, see Customizing.
You can change the applications on the launch bar at the bottom of the Home screen. See Launchpad.
Tip: While you're in another application or screen, press to return to the Home screen that last visited.
Update the software of your phone
The HTC One can check and then notify you if there's a new update available. You can also choose to download updates, or check for available updates manually.
Enable automatic updates
You can choose to download and install software updates automatically to HTC applications or mobile operators.
Go to Settings, and then tap About.
Tap on Software Updates.
To save user data, you can choose to update only via Wi-Fi.
Choose between automatically download system updates, application updates, or both.
Application updates are installed automatically. Has yet to confirm when installing system software updates.
Install a software update
When active Internet connection and there is a new software update is available, the update notification icon appears in the status bar.
Open the Notifications panel, and then tap the update notification system.
If you do not want to download the update using your data connection, select Update only over Wi-Fi.
Tap Download.
When the download is complete, select Install now and then tap OK.
Once updated, the HTC One will reboot.
Installing an application update
When the Internet connection is on and there is an upgrade available for your HTC applications or mobile operator, the notification icon appears in the status bar.
Open the Notifications panel, and then tap the update notification.
The Updates screen opens with a list of applications to be installed updates.
Tap an item to see the details, and then tap.
When finished reviewing the updates, tap Install. Prompted to restart your HTC One, if necessary will be him.
Checking for updates manually
Go to Settings, and then tap About.
Tap on Software Updates. The HTC One checks for software updates available.
Note: If you do not have an Internet connection, asked to turn mobile or connect to a Wi-Fi network data will be to him.
Once connected, tap Check now to check for updates.
Uninstalling an app
If you no longer need an application you downloaded and installed, you can easily uninstall it.
Important: Most pre-loaded applications can not be uninstalled.
From the Applications screen, press and hold the application to remove, and then drag it to Uninstall.
