This is the new HTC One: bigger, faster and better

Last year, HTC invested in their channel  resources into a single smartphone prominent. This bet was the One, a sensational device with Android. His successor, the New HTC One, got bigger to make it better.

Design

The new Super LCD 3 5 inch screen with full HD resolution and 441 ppi, is slightly higher than the 4.7 "of the previous model. She goes from edge to edge, and is surrounded by a very stylish unibody metal body; if before there was plastic on the edges, here's metal everywhere. It will be available in three colors: gray, gold and silver.

The gray version, which we tested in a brief hands-on, definitely gives a more high-end feel to it; and despite its larger screen, it does not look clumsy, thanks to the 9.35 mm thick - something that has not increased. Are 160g.

In general, a cell made all-metal can suffer problems with signal reception. HTC says, however, that the new One was designed with multiple antennas, then your design should not affect the signal strength. It worked well in a demo, but it remains to see how it works in most tests.

Besides the design, the most noticeable improvement comes in Duo Camera. There is a sensor 4 Ultrapixels, designed to capture more light than ordinary pixels - so work better in low light environments. But we also have a smaller camera that does not take pictures: she captures depth information, as well as his eye for superrápido maintain a focus on what you're photographing.

It changes the optical image stabilization (present in previous HTC One) by an automatic stabilization based software.

With the Duo Camera, images become less blur without decreasing the quality (if it works as promised).

There is also a Smart Flash 2.0, which adjusts the flash brightness in each photo, and this time includes two shades to the colors in the photo will not look "blown" or faded. And there is a front 5MP camera with lens f / 2.0, which captures more light and allows selfies high quality.

HTC also made the interface much simpler, cleaner and better camera. There are buttons to capture video or photo, or access other settings. Tap once to take a picture, or hold the button to activate the burst mode. You can also change the focus of the image after capturing it, playing in different areas in the image. Other Android devices offer these features, but HTC makes them easy to find.

Software

The new HTC Android 4.4 One wheel with Sense 6.0 skin. The interface is simple and clean, the opposite of the Samsung TouchWiz. The Sense 6.0 is close enough to the standard Android, and in our brief hands-on, never hurt me while I used the device. The home screen works like the standard Android, but won a Blinkfeed screen itself, bringing together news and posts from social networks.

Using all this also has become much easier, thanks to a new set of gestures. They are called Motion Launch, and seem to be worse than useless tricks. For example, you can double-tap the screen to activate the screen - a feature adopted by Nokia for some time, and something that does not always work right on devices from LG. In our test, everything worked fine.

Furthermore, when One is with the screen turned off, you can slide to the left and go to the home screen, or slide to the right and go to the BlinkFeed. You can also slide up and back to the last app you were using; or slide down to make a call.

You can also tilt your device sideways and pressing the volume button to activate the camera, which is kind of weird. This type of functionality is usually something great in theory, but very bad in practice. However, the new One they functioned straight in our test.

Specifications

Inside, we have a quad-core versions with 16GB or 32GB microSD card slot Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 801 2.3 GHz (2.5 GHz in the Asian version), 2GB of RAM, and. The new HTC One also supports NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, DLNA compatible, and works as a remote control infrared.

The battery also has grown to 2,600 mAh, but HTC says the new One has some power-saving features. The company promises a day with a single charge. But if you reach 10%, you can put it in economy mode and get some extra time. In this mode, you can still make and receive calls, download emails manually and send text messages. Just missed Qi wireless charging ...

The device is available now in the USA but not officially come to Brazil - HTC no longer have office in the country. In our brief testing, the HTC One seems to be a wonderful phone with good specifications and features, a worthy successor to one of the great smartphones last year. [HTC One (M8)]

HTC One: the best smartphone in the world

In February, HTC introduced the world to 'HTC One', a powerful, elegant and with unit details that can make a difference.

The One is a HTC device with Android system built in metal, unlike the plastic used in the Samsung Galaxy S4, for example.

Moreover, the most prominent is up to the 8MP camera. Actually, what really stands out is the quality distributed these pixels.

A technology called 'Ultra Pixel' is able to enlarge the pixels and absorb about three times more natural light in time to capture an image. The feature is ideal for capturing photos in low light and is still able to compress all the photos produced with the camera on your smartphone to a resolution of up to 4 megapixels.

The HTC One is equipped with touchscreen 4.7-inch LCD display with 1080p resolution, ensuring density of 468 pixels per inch, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 600 1.7 GHz, 2GB of RAM, two versions of 32GB or 64GB of storage , Bluetooth 4.0, support for NFC (Near Field Communication), Wi-Fi, technology runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 and has 2,300 mAh battery. In the United States, the device costs $ 200 with a two-year contract with the telephone company.

How will perform HTC One M8 against direct competition?

The worldwide launch of the new HTC One (M8) has brought to the world of technology a new proposal for top of the range to the world of Android.

This new proposal HTC raises the bar of what we can find in the world of smartphones, but how will the new HTC One behaves in the face of direct competition?

The new version of HTC One is much more than a simple update of components compared to its predecessor. The overall improvement which has been applied is mirrored in the majority of the components that were used for its construction.

But the HTC One also draws attention to the forms and by it brings, proving to be a very careful and special attention to detail and design equipment.

There are some elements that stand out in HTC One M8 and that make a reference face competition. Its battery is indicated as having a capacity for up to two weeks has left many surprised, but still have your processor and the lens dedicated to photography in depth may also be highlighted.

But now that is coming to market is inevitable comparisons with similar, more recent and top equipment that are available.

The choice for these comparisons fall on the most significant offerings of competing brands not only in the same ecosystem but also others that are an alternative when choosing.

The new HTC One must achieve comparable with the new proposal from Samsung about to start marketing itself also and the iPhone 5S, already in the market for some time.

The hardware specifications that we present below show three very similar equipment, but with HTC to stand out in some areas, the result of its most recent arrival to the market.

Despite being very similar to the S5 Samsung, HTC One turns out to have some details which can overcome this its direct competitor in the Android world.

Both share many similar components, such as processor, memory and other features, but the question is what will make better use of them.

When compared to the iPhone 5S, and because they are completely different platforms, we can only show that has the ability to expand the memory and the presence of other technologies that the flagship Apple is not present.

There is still much to explore and learn about this new proposal from HTC and how the competition will react to another smartphone that provides exceptional.

The HTC One has everything to continue the path of success than its predecessor trod and that everyone knows. If it was a reference in the previous version, this also shows that it is a bet to be taken into account.

The reformulation of One by HTC has shown a completely new and features that will keep for a long time at the top phone.

Was thus even more difficult to choose a smartphone for those looking for a top product and exceptional features.

HTC One (M8): all about the new top of the line smartphone from HTC

After much speculation, HTC finally announced their new top smartphone line. The HTC One (M8) is the successor to the current HTC One, with hardware of the highest level and many innovative features for consumers. HTC intends to maintain the standards of the previous version, which featured high-performance components to perform tasks with ease.

The new version of the smartphone comes with improved hardware and some design changes, which now has some curves in its structure. In addition, the HTC One (M8) also hit the market with two integrated cameras to new possibilities. Want to know more about all this? So check out the details of the new HTC One (M8).

Hardware: the ultimate weapon of HTC

Whenever we talk about smartphones from HTC, we believe in the powerful hardware it offers to its consumers. With HTC One (M8) the story is no different and the phone comes with components that would make any competitor jealous. For starters, it has a new generation processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 801, with power to perform any function very quickly.

More than that, the handset also comes with a 5-inch screen and full HD resolution, generating pixel density of 440 pixels per inch. Is still necessary to highlight the 2 GB of RAM memory of the device, which can ensure much efficiency in multitasking functions. Finally, the One (M8) comes with 2600 mAh battery technology and battery saving by management software.

A new concept in design

Of course there is a little inspiration from the HTC One in the new model. But please note that the manufacturer really changed a number of details to bring a more interesting device to consumers. There was a refinement in the details of the outer shell of the smartphone, which is now more curvaceous and also has more rounded edges and metallic finish that draws attention.

As you can see in the images throughout this page, this new design houses very well the 5-inch HTC One (M8) screen - 0.3 inches longer than the ones in the previous version of the device. Sound outputs remain at the two edges of the smartphone and the front camera now takes up less space in the structure.

And, if you are finding that the design of the device is a secondary issue, it is good rethink. The vice president of design at HTC claims that the changes brought about by the One who is allowed the manufacturer to invest in innovation. To The Verge, he said: "If it was not for One, HTC probably would not be here today."

Dot View Case

Still on the design, HTC announced the arrival of a new layer of protection that can impress many. This is the Dot View Case, which has a lot of holes, which allows users to have various information about the device without having to turn the entire screen.

And no need to press any button for that, because activation of the screen works the same way as has been seen in other devices. Just give two little taps on the screen for it to be activated and show the information that consumers want. When the Dot View Case is attached, this activation occurs in a limited way, showing time and other notifications with a more retro look.

BoomSound: the audio you want on your mobile

Because of space limitations for the necessary movements to build a structure of high level audio, cell phones usually have very high pitched sounds. But HTC promises that it does not occur in One (M8), since he has the same BoomSound technology present in the previous generation of devices.

Counting with two audio outputs, smartphones allow music and video have taken the sound to spectators in a more uniform manner. This is very interesting especially for those who like to watch movies on laptops.

New UltraPixel Camera

The smartphone from HTC has two main cameras integrated to the back of the device. They bring some very interesting possibilities, even with only 4 megapixels maximum resolution. Working together, the two cameras can capture images with different focuses at the same time - thanks to UFocus technology - allowing the user to decide which will be used in a "post-processing".

The features of "UltraPixel" also promise better results for photographs in low-light environments. As for video recording, the camera of the HTC One (M8) can capture movies in Full HD resolutions, still having the ability to add 12 different filters the results so that your clips look even more interesting.

HTC Sense 6: "The Sixth Sense"

It's hard to keep the focus on smartphones only updating hardware and making them more powerful. For this reason, companies also invest in software and installing new features on their tops line appliances updates. HTC did it with the new one (M8) and brought some news that can leave anyone with that "itch in hand."

One of the big news today is the update of the HTC Sense user, which reaches version 6.0 interface. Along with it, a lot of buzz emerges to allow consumers to have quick access to the main existing functions on their devices. To start, the launcher BlinkFeed keeps bringing social networks, notification and dynamic access to the main apps of HTC One (M8) updates.

The Service Pack will also be updated to ensure more security for consumers, as well as fix some small errors that could be present in the previous version. One of the main apps come with new TV interface is HTC, which gathers information on television shows and even allows Smart TVs are controlled by smartphone screen.

Going beyond screen taps

It is also true to say that the HTC Sense 6 brought new possibilities for gesture commands. Several innovations were installed on HTC One (M8), and some of them are really amazing. With new possibilities of gestures applied to the sensors, the smartphone can be reactivated with just a slip of fingers on the screen and then simply move to leave him at eye level.

Another very interesting possibility relates to mute the smartphone in case of calls at inopportune moments. Simply turn the unit - if with the screen down, causing her to get up, for example - so that the connection is quickly rejected and interrupted sounds. Through controls by voice is also very simple answer to any call without touching the phone.

Availability

The major carriers of the United States are now selling the phone, which should begin to be delivered in the first half of April.

Still no word on prices that will be charged by each device since the HTC will hold sales only by operators with different contracts and plans. It is possible that some values begin to be revealed in the coming hours, but so far there is no concrete information about it.
